Homeowners just became the minority in these US cities

Renters became the majority in nearly a quarter of the largest US cities in the decade between 2006 and 2016.

Over those 10 years, rentership growth outpaced homeownership in nearly all of the most populous US cities, according to a report released last week by the listing site RentCafe.

Some 22 of the 100 largest cities became renter-majority between 2006 and 2016, bringing the total of renter-dominated cities to 42. The increase was so pronounced that it was only slightly below the total national population growth recorded during that decade. Plano-based Green Brick Partners to develop $500M of new homes in fast-growing Frisco neighborhoods – Dallas Business Journal

Plano-based Green Brick Partners (Nasdaq: GRBK) plans to build more than 1,000 homes in three master-planned communities in the fast-growing Frisco community. The homes will have a build-out value of more than $500 million.

The North Texas suburb is one of the most dynamic markets for home lot development in Dallas-Fort Worth, which is why Green Brick Partners is banking on the city, said CEO Jim Brickman.

Plano police searching for 15-year-old girl last seen on red mountain bike

Chedana Chitralehkha was last seen riding a red mountain bike. She may have been in the area of Brand Road, East Renner Road and East FM 544, police said.

She was wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Additional details were not immediately available.

Anyone who sees Chedana is asked to call 911.
